Dear Parents

  To graduate, your child is required to memorize/recite baanis -  Japji Sahib, Anand Sahib, Chaupai Sahib, Rehraas Sahib and Kirtan Sohila Sahib. They are also required to be able to do the Ardaas and take the Hukamnama, by the end of 5th grade. 
   The Gurmukhi/Punjabi Class, Shabad kirtan Class, GNCA diwan all take place for 45 minutes. Sikh history also is for 45 minutes block where we only get time to teach the child some simple meanings and articulation of Gurbani. Therefore, we need major help from you to memorize/recite the paath better at home. Please pick a time of the day for instance, bath time or driving or when you are fixing their hair to recite path with the child. When they are young, this is the best time of their life to Kanth the Baanis. Once they start high school, it becomes extremely hard to find time. Here are GNCA Paath goals for all classes.
